The DaVinci Code

Dan Brown

An easy 5 stars.  This is the type of book that is entertaining but gets you thinking too. (scary prospect, I know)

The story revolves around an expert in signs and symbols throughout history.  He goes to Paris to lecture on his latest book topic and gets mixed up in an epic hunt for the fabled Holy Grail.  During his journey Dan Brown reveals facts about the History of the Christian faith that most people are not aware of.  He also deals with Pagan beliefs and what happened to the Sacred Feminine, which was suddenly repressed in Western Religion and why this occurred.

This book is shrouded in controversy because many people are not willing to consider the possibility that they may be wrong in some of the beliefs that they hold dear.  If you have an open mind, or if you’re willing to read something that may not be along the path that you tread, you’ll at the very least enjoy a great dramatic and entertaining story.
