Week 17 Baby Pictures November 13, 2008

These week we had an appointment for a fetal echocardiogram – an in depth sonographic study of the baby’s heart.  The technician was really friendly and before starting to zoom in on the heart to check it out she let us say hi to the baby and gave us three prints.

The tests looked good and the heart is normal, we’ll repeat the scan in six weeks when the baby is bigger and each valve can be seen in more depth.  Also, while not 100% confirmed she also suspects the baby’s gender so those of you who have asked and been told the probable sex, this new technician agrees.

This view of the baby was a hoot… as usual the baby wouldn’t keep still and squirmed all over the place at one point lifting its arms, it looks like the baby’s covering it’s ears and saying, “Quiet down out there!”

Here’s the same shot but the technician darkened it to see a bit better:

Finally, a shot of a little arm waving bye-bye!
